چکیده
Background: Sepsis is an important risk factor for the development of acute renal injury (ARI) among patients admitted to intensive care unit (ICU). There are limited studies showing that increased uric acid level ARI. The present study was carried out find whether basal levels play role in predicting ARI and it could be used as a biomarker this. Materials Methods: This retrospective included aged≥18 years who were ICU Yüzüncü Yıl University Medical Faculty Hospital from September 2018 December 2020. Group 1 comprised 100 developing group 2 110 did not develop Laboratory test values Simplified Acute Physiologic Score II (SAPS II) data on first day admission obtained archive records. Results: During 10-day follow-up study, rate 57.3%. Basal serum higher compared (P=0.001). Based results multivariate logistic regression analysis, albumin SAPS had independent correlations with (P<0.001). Conclusion: We believe examined sepsis diagnosis may prediction

Effect of aminophylline on renal function of brain injury patients with acute renal failure admitted to the intensive care unit
Introdution: Acute renal failure is a common complication in the brain injury patients. Released adenosine in injury can reduce renal glomerular filtration. Aminophylline is an inhibitor of releasing adenosine. So, this study aimed to evaluate the effect of intravenous aminophylline in renal function of brain-injured patients with acute renal failure admitted to the intensive care unit. Method...
متن کاملRisk Factors and Prognostic Factors of Acute Renal Failure in Patients Admitted to an Intensive Care Unit, Tehran-Iran
Acute renal failure (ARF) is defined as a sudden and continuous decrease of glomerular function associated with azotemia, and may be followed by decreased urinary output. There is a high incidence of ARF in ICU patients with a high mortality rate. Many factors can promote ARF development or influence its outcome. This study was done to assess the incidence, risk factors, outcome and treatme...
متن کاملPresymptomatic prediction of sepsis in intensive care unit patients.
Postoperative or posttraumatic sepsis remains one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in hospital populations, especially in populations in intensive care units (ICUs). Central to the successful control of sepsis-associated infections is the ability to rapidly diagnose and treat disease. The ability to identify sepsis patients before they show any symptoms would have major benefits...
متن کاملAPACHE III Outcome Prediction in Patients Admitted to the Intensive Care Unit with Sepsis Associated Acute Lung Injury
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation (APACHE) III score has been widely used for prediction of clinical outcomes in mixed critically ill patients. However, it has not been validated in patients with sepsis-associated acute lung injury (ALI). The aim of the study was to explore the calibration and predictive value of APACHE III in patients with sepsis-associate...
متن کاملCould uric acid have a role in acute renal failure?
Acute renal failure (ARF), induced by either toxins or ischemia, is associated with significant morbidity. The pathogenesis of ARF is complex and is characterized by renal vasoconstriction and oxidative stress in association with tubular and microvascular injury and interstitial inflammation. In many situations, ARF is associated with a rise in serum uric acid as a result of both increased gene...
